New paint

Did some random painting with John today on the car. Painted the door handles black, as well as the front right headlight. Also did a whole cleaning, the most thurough yet. Engine, Interior, Exterior, everything. sparkling clean now. Almost have all the plans for my car worked out by now, just need to know what rims i want to put on it, what size, and where to buy em.

  1. ahhh i wanna see some pics! giving the car a black eye up front eh?

some thing to do (i'll give ya a hand jus lemme know)

take off your front bumper/fenders and tuck your wire harness up so if you slam real low your wheels won't rub thru the harness.

i got some wheels you can have, and i can probably get some rubber for them too. 17's up front and 18's in the rear. fronts are hard to fit tho.. you'll need coil overs cuz stock suspension is too bulky. so rad man! its gonna be a fun project.

  2. haha yeah i figured it might look pretty cool with the black eye, and since im gonna get it painted after body kit and all that why not try it out.

Oooh! that would be sweet to do. i dont have much to do while i wait for money for parts so that would be sick. im going to new york for a week, so when i get back i'll probably do that..call you up if i need some help.

wheels i can have? like free?! dude no way. that would be soo sick.! if its those spare rims in your garage that would be ssoo dope! those are rad. And, is it like to bulky just to get on? or to bulky to drive. cause its not getting driven much, so id like to throw them on for at least a night to see what they look like, or would that not be possible?

Also, for lowering my car is it possible to do it like myself, with people? or would i have to bring it into a place to do it and, would i want to wait until i got my body kit to do it? or could i do it before, and just adjust it once i get the body kit?

  3. well with your suspension right now (i'm assuming its stock) you can't adjust it. thats why you get coilovers. they also stiffen up the ride for way better handling. then you can make it as low or high as you want. with coils you can adjust your height in minutes, its easy as long as the coilovers aren't old and rusted or anything. (assuming you buy used, but new would be better)

well the 18's will fit the rear no problem. the 17's will not fit the front with stock suspension because the wheel sits to close to the spring. you can't bolt it up cuz it can't sit flush on the hub. you need a wheel spacer, or wheels with a better offset. offset refers to how the wheel will sit when mounted. whether it pokes past the fender, has a deep dish look to it and other fun styles.

dude have fun in new york! call me up or text me when you're back and need some help.

  4. ooohhh ok! well i guess that means i'll be buying coils earlier than other stuff haha. never knew it was that easy to adjust ride height though. thats sweet.

and ok, i'll put the 18s on then, and keep the front stock until i get coils. Will i need to get a wheel spacer ontop of the coil overs? or just coil overs?

thanks bro! yeah i will for suure.

  7. mm 120 or so shipped to my door. got em off zilvia.net a while ago. dunno if you get em for that price anymore.

man, save your money on the little stuff tho. get those later. coilovers! start a coilovers jar. any money you want to spend, throw it in there and don't touch it.
